| By:
BOX SCORE TORONTO (November 29, 2013) - The Queen's women's basketball team (6-3) defeated the York Lions (1-8) 68-47 in their last game of league play in 2013.

Queen's took the lead early, outscoring the Lions 18-10 in the first quarter. Despite a second quarter push, the Gaels still led 32-26 at half and dominated all stat categories.  A big three early in the third by Jenny Wright (Kingston, Ont.) pushed the Gaels to an 11 point advantage and the Gaels never let up more than a ten point lead margin from then on. The fourth quarter continued the offensive dominance by Queen's, ending the game with a 68-47 point spread.

Wright was the spark for the Gaels throughout the game, finishing the contest with 25 points and hitting 5-8 from beyond the arc. Robyn Pearson (Toronto) had yet another double-double, scoring 13 points and grabbing 14 boards to help secure the win for the Gaels. Nadia Qahwash was the offensive threat for York, contributing 22 points and six boards in 38 minutes of court time.
