No. 3 Gaels suffer first regulation loss of season to Lancers 6-3

BOX SCORE WINDSOR, Ont. (November 16, 2013) - The No. 3 Queen's Gaels suffered their first regulation loss of the season on Saturday afternooon falling 6-3 at the hands of the Windsor Lancers.

Morgan McHaffie (Guelph, Ont.) led the Gaels on the day with a three point effort scoring one goal and adding two assists while Taryn Pilon (Peterborough, Ont.) had a goal and an assist. Windsor's Erinn Noseworthy had a hat-trick for the Lancers, equaling the amount she had scored coming into the game.

After Noseworthy scored her first of the game to put the Lancers ahead early, the Gaels reponded with a power play marker just over a minute later then took the lead 2-1 in the second on a goal from Jessica Wakefield (Lucan, Ont.). 

From that point on it was all Lancers however. Windsor scored twice more in the second and added another three in the final period before the Gaels were able to score again. The game finished 6-3 for Windsor and Queen's suffered their first regulation loss of the season.

Mel Dodd-Moher (Stittsville, Ont.) made 24 saves for Queen's in a losing effort.

Up next for the Gaels they will travel to London to take on the No. 10 Mustangs tomorrow afternoon at 4pm.
