2-1 Shootout Loss In Ottawa for Men's Hockey

BOX SCORE  OTTAWA (November 1, 2013) - The Queen's Gaels lost a heart-breaker in Ottawa on Friday night in an  shootout to the Ottawa Gee-Gees.
 
The Gaels were down 1-0 heading into the third period where Andrew Wiebe (Thunder Bay, Ont.) of the Gaels scored the equalizer with 6:35 left on an assist from Braeden Corbeth (Oakville, Ont.) and Taylor Clements (Toronto).

Ottawa was in offensive control most of the game, outshooting Queen's 42-22 on net. Kevin Bailie (Belleville, Ont.) of the Gaels had an impressive 41 saves in regulation time.
 
Alexandre Touchette of Ottawa scored the first and only necessary goal in the shootout to claim the victory for the Gee-Gees after a scoreless overtime period.
 
The Gaels have still yet to fall in regulation as they sport a 3-0-3 record for nine points as they sit in a tie for first in the OUA East. Queen's is next in action on Saturday against the UOIT Ridgebacks at the Memorial Centre in Kingston at 7:30pm. The game can be heard live on CFRC Radio.
