No. 1 Gee-Gees score early to beat No. 7 Gaels

KINGSTON Ont. (Ocotber 5, 2013)- The No. 7 Gaels fell behind in the third minute, when No. 1 Ottawa's Pilar Khoury put one past Gaels' keeper Madison Tyrell (White Rock, B.C.).
 
The Gaels peppered Ottawa's keeper, Cynthia LeBlanc, with eight shots throughout the game. LeBlanc equaled the Gaels' efforts on each attempt, collecting the clean sheet and the victory.
 
Riley Filion (Alexandria, Ont.) and Breanna Burton (Ottawa) led the Gaels in shots, with two apiece.
 
Tyrell had three saves in the loss.
 
The Gaels (6-2-3) are on the road next week, taking on the Carleton Ravens (7-2-2) on Wednesday at 4pm and the University of Toronto Varsity Blues (8-2-1) at 1pm on Saturday.
