No. 2 Rams down Gaels 4-2 with second half explosion

TORONTO (October 13, 2013)- The No. 2 Ryerson Rams broke the 0-0 deadlock with three goals in four minutes, downing the Gaels 4-2 on Sunday afternoon in Toronto.
 
A Gaels own-goal opened the scoring in the 75th minute, followed quickly by a pair of goals by the Rams Luka Lee. Viktor Anastasov added a fourth goal for Ryerson in the 87th minute before the Gaels responded with a pair of last minute goals from Lucas Azeredo Lobo (Kingston, Ont.) and Joseph Zupo (Toronto), who converted a on a penalty kick.
 
Dylan Maxwell (Vancouver) got the start for the Gaels, making seven saves in the loss. The Gaels beat Christian Maraldo with both of their shots, leaving him with zero saves in the Rams victory.
 
The Gaels (5-5-2) play host to the Laurentian Voyageurs (5-4-3) on Saturday and the Nipissing Lakers (3-7-1) to finish off the regular season next weekend on the West Campus Field.
