Chris Michael scores in Gaels 2-1 loss to Varsity Blues

TORONTO (October 12, 2013)- Chris Michael (Ottawa) scored for the Gaels to break the deadlock in the second half on Saturday, but the University of Toronto Varsity Blues came back with two late goals to win the game.
 
Standing over a free-kick in the 55th minute, Michael bent the ball around the wall, curling it into the bottom right corner to put the Gaels ahead 1-0.
 
Kilian Elkinson responded for Toronto in the 71st minute, chipping Gaels' keeper Dylan Maxwell to tie the game. Veljko Lukovic put the Varsity Blues in the lead with a header off a corner in the 78th minute.
 
Maxwell had seven saves in the loss. Toronto's keeper Rab Bruce-Lockhart stopped eight of the shots he faced.
 
The Gaels (5-4-2) play the nationally-ranked No. 2 Ryerson Rams at 2:15pm on Sunday.
