KINGSTON, Ont. (January 3, 2013) - The Queen's Gaels are set to kick-off the new year on a number of fronts this weekend. Here's a rundown of when and where to catch your Gaels in action.

Home Events:
M & W Basketball – vs. Toronto, Saturday (W-1 p.m., M-3 p.m.), ARC Main Gym (Live Stats - Broadcast Info)
Men's Hockey – vs. Toronto, Saturday (7:30 p.m.), Kingston Memorial Centre (Live Stats)
M & W Basketball – vs. Ryerson, Sunday (W-1 p.m., M-3 p.m.), ARC Main Gym (Live Stats)
Away Events:
Men's Hockey – vs. Royal Military College, Friday (7 p.m.), Kingston, Ont. (Live Stats)

Men's Hockey – Queen's (6-6-3) will look to get back into the win column as they closed out the 2012 portion of their season with a 2-1 loss at home to UQTR. The Gaels will look to pull their home record back to .500 as they sit at 3-4 this season. Queen's kicks things off Friday at 7 p.m. against RMC (2-13-2) which marks the first of three matchups with the Paladins this season. The two teams close out their season series on Jan. 31 in the 27th annual Carr-Harris Challenge Cup.(Ticket Info). The Gaels return home on Saturday where they take on Toronto (9-4-3) at 7:30 p.m.

Men's Basketball – The Gaels (6-2) will look to stay hot as they open up January with two home games this weekend welcoming Toronto (2-6) on Saturday and No. 9 Ryerson (8-0) Sunday. Queen's is coming off a win over Western back on Dec. 1 where the Gaels put up 114 points. The win marked the Gaels first 100 point game since Feb. 12, 2011 when Queen's beat the Laurentian Voyageurs 101-92 in overtime. Both games are set for 3 p.m. tip-offs.

Women's Basketball - Coming off wins in two of their previous three contests the Gaels (4-4) will now look to claim the third spot in the OUA East for their own as they take on Toronto (4-4) Saturday afternoon. The Gaels and their number two offence in the OUA then take on Ryerson (2-6) on Sunday. Both games are set to begin at 1 p.m.
