| By:
BOX SCORE OTTAWA (January 19, 2013) - The Queen's Gaels (6-8) lost to the No. 6 Carleton Ravens (11-3) 64-38 on Saturday night in Ottawa.

Rachel Urosevic (Waterloo, Ont.)  finished with a team high 11 points for the Gaels while Nicole Morse (Cottam, Ont.) had a strong performance under the boards, adding nine rebounds.  Alyson Bush (Ottawa) stole the show for the Carleton Ravens, scoring a team high 14 points, four of which were from beyond the arc.

Carleton had a lot of momentum during the first quarter, putting up 21 points to the Gaels 13.  With some strong defensive play in the second quarter, the Gaels managed to hold the Ravens to only eight points but could not take advantage on offense adding only five points of their own to the board.

The Ravens held off the Gaels in the last two quarters of the game and closed out the win in the fourth quarter putting up 21 points to the Gaels nine. The Ravens finished with a 64-38 victory over the Queen's Gaels.

The Gaels matched the Ravens with a total of 34 rebounds, however it was the Gaels turnovers that contributed heavily to the loss with the Carleton Ravens scoring 18 of their points off of Queen's turnovers.

The Gaels return to action next weekend with a game against Ryerson in Toronto on Friday. Tipoff is slated for 6 p.m.
