Early goal sends Gaels to first defeat of the season

KINGSTON, Ont. – A goal in the second minute by Christophe Perrault held up as the No. 10-ranked Carleton Ravens defeated the No. 5-ranked Queen's Gaels, 1-0, in OUA men's soccer action in Ottawa, Wednesday. The Gaels were held scoreless for the first time this season, as their record dropped to 6-1-1 on the year and dropped into second place in the OUA East, two points back of the Ravens (7-1-0).
 
Dylan Maxwell (Vancouver, B.C.) made four saves in a losing cause for the Gaels. Carleton outshot Queen's 5-2, and took 11 corners to the Gaels' 1. Mark Krocko picked up the shutout for Carleton.
 
Queen's returns to action on Saturday afternoon, as they visit RMC (0-6-1). Kickoff is set for 3:15 p.m. at the Navy Bay Fields.
