BOX SCORE SUDBURY, Ont.  (February 18, 2012) - The Gaels (2-20) closed out their season losing a a close one to the Laurentian Voyageurs (11-11) this Saturday evening in Sudbury. The final score fo the game was 83-74.

The Gaels and Voyageurs were back and forth in tonights game. The Gaels were up six pooints midway through the first quarter, but the Voyageurs fought back, ending the frame with a three point lead.

In the second quarter, the Gaels closed the gap by one point. In the second half, the Gaels stayed close, but could not get enough momentum to overcome Laurentian. They ended the game with a nine point defecit.

Mackenzie Simpson of Ottawa led the Gaels wtih 19 points. Ryan Golden of Barrie, Ont. added 16 points for the Gaels. Bernard Burgesson of Port Hawkesbury, N.S. added 12  for the Gaels and Nikola Misljencevic of Kingston dropped 11. Burgesson also pulled in seven rebounds.

The Gaels close out their season with a 2-20 mark but finish the season strong keeping games close and pulling down two wins over rival RMC in the latter half of the season.
