KINGSTON, Ont. - The Queen's Gaels men's soccer team closed the OUA regular season with a 4-1 win over the Trent Excalibur at the West Campus field on Sunday. With the win, the Gaels finish league play with an 11-1-2 record, and are atop the OUA East Division.
Queen's took the lead with a goal from midfielder Martin Andrew (Kingston, Ont.), in the fourteenth minute. Shortly after, Trent's Dylan Tobey tied the game in the twenty-first minute. The teams battled to take the lead and David Tom scored for Queen's in the forty-third minute, finishing the half with a 2-1 lead for Queen's.
Gaels forward Lucas Azeredo Lobo, scored in the fiftieth minute and again in the seventy-eighth being the final goals of the game.
The Gaels men's soccer team plays again on Sunday, October 28in the OUA Quarter-finals at the West Campus Field. Kickoff is set for 3:15 p.m.
