KINGSTON, Ont. - The No. 9-ranked Queen's Gaels played to a scoreless draw with the No. 1-ranked Ottawa Gee-Gees in OUA women's soccer action in Ottawa, Friday. With the 0-0 tie, they move to 10-2-3 on the year and are now four points up on the Toronto     Varsity Blues (9-3-2) in the race for the second place in the OUA East Division, and the first-round bye that accompanies it. With today's tie, Gaels would clinch second place with a win on Sunday over the Trent Excalibur or any combination of three points gained by the Gaels and lost by the Blues in their two remaining games.

Madison Tyrell (White Rock, B.C.) made eight saves for the Gaels to pick up the shutout, while Cynthia Leblanc turned aside three shots for Ottawa.

Jackie Tessier (Winnipeg, Man.) led the Gaels attack with a pair of shots, while Christine Hardie had three for Ottawa.

The Gaels close out the regular season on Sunday afternoon as they host the Trent Excalibur (3-10-1). Kickoff at the West Campus Field is set for 1 p.m.
