Simpson and the Gaels can't stop Berhanemeskel and the Gee Gees

BOX SCORE OTTAWA (January 21, 2012) The Queen's Gaels (0-14) were unnable to slow the play of Johnny Berhanemeskel of Ottawa and the Gee Gees (10-5) who beat the Gaels 87-58 on Saturday night.

Mackenzie Simpson of Ottawa had a team high 19 points to go along with five rebounds, two steals and one assist but the story of the night was Berhanemeskel who scored 31 points on 11 of 12 shooting. Berhanemeskel's only miss of the night came from the three point line where he was four of five and went a perfect five for five from the charity stripe.

The Gaels were outmatched in every quarter as the team was not able to keep pace with the Gee Gees. Queen's was strong from the three point line going eight for 24 but Ottawa made nearly 57 percent of their shots on the night.

The Gaels return to action on Friday when they travel to Toronto to take on the Varsity Blues at 8pm.
