Gaels beat by No. 1 Ravens, Golden with 17 in losing effort

BOX SCORE OTTAWA (January 20, 2012) - The Queen's Gaels (0-13) fell short the the No. 1 Carleton Ravens (14-0) Friday night in Ottawa, despite 17 points from Ryan Golden of Barrie, Ont. The final score of the game was 96-64.

in the first quarter, the Gaels were down 10, 28-18. In the second quarter they maintained the defecit. The second half was where the undefeated Carleton showed their strength, the Ravens came out strong, outscoring the Gaels 37-15. In the fourth quarter the Gaels outscored the Ravens 14-13, but it was too little too late. 

Ryan Golden was the leading scorer for the Gaels with 17 points. Mackenzie Simpson of Ottawa added 13. 

The Gaels are back in action tomorrow evening versus the University of Ottawa. Tipoff is set for 8:00pm.
