KINGSTON, Ont. (September 12, 2011) – Queen's Athletics & Recreation is pleased to announce that men's rugby player Matt Kelly of Toronto and women's rugby player Andrea Wadsworth of Toronto have been named TELUS Athletes of the Week for the week ending September 25.

Kelly was a force for the Gaels in their big 47-3 victory over the McMaster Marauders in Kingston. Kelly recorded two tries for the Gaels on great runs to account for 10 of the Gaels' 47 points in the win. Both of Kelly's tries came at key moments in the game as they put McMaster in deficits of 14 and 32 points, preventing any comeback in the process.

Wadsworth scored two key tries of her own in a 31-3 Gaels victory over the York Lions in Toronto. Wadsworth put the first points on the board with a try scored off a stolen York line out. Wadsworth scored again late in the first half shortly after a Queen's line out. Wadsworth's first try stood as the game winning points while her second try was a dagger before the end of the first half.

Wadsworth is looking for her third OUA First team all-star selection this season after earning her second first team selection in 2010 when she finished fourth in the province in scoring.
