PETERBOROUGH, Ont. (September 17, 2011) – Alexis McKinty of Burlington, Ont. scored a hat trick to lead the No.4 Gaels (5-0-0) to a 6-0 victory over the Trent Excalibur (0-4-1) in Peterborough on Saturday afternoon.
Riley Fillion of Alexandria, Ont. scored the lone first half goal of the game in the final minute.
In the second half, McKinty scored three times in a row in the 55th, 65th, and 72nd minutes of play. Jackie Tessier added two more in the 78th and 81st minutes, as the Gaels continued to dominate the play.
Chantal Marson of London, Ont. recorded her third shutout of the season.
The Gaels take on the Ryerson Rams next Saturday at Richardson Stadium at 1:00.
