KINGSTON, Ont. (September 11, 2011) – Back to back goals in the 41st and 43rd minutes of play pace the Gaels (2-0-0) for a 3-0 victory over the Trent Excalibur (1-2-1) Sunday at Richardson Stadium.
After 41 minutes of play
Nick Pateras of Kanata, Ont. scored a goal from 35 yards out to put the Gaels on the scoreboard. Two minutes later, Ottawa native
MacArinze Ojiaku added one more for the Gaels.
With a 2-0 lead at the half, the Gaels were in full control of the game. In the 64th minute of play,
Peter Christidis of Scarborough, Ont. blew by his defender and scored a breakaway goal to give Queen's their third goal.
Dylam Maxwell of Vancouver earned his second shutout of the season for the Gaels.
The Gaels are back in action on September 16 against the Royal Military College Paladins at Richardson Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:45 pm.
