KINGSTON, Ont. (March 4, 2011) - After making history two nights ago, the Queen's Gaels women's hockey team will look to do so again tonight as they look to capture their first OUA Championship since 1978-79 when they take on the Guelph Gryphons in Game 2 of the best-of-three series.
The Gaels captured Game 1 of the series in historic fashion as they defeated the Gryphons 2-1 after 167 minutes and 14 seconds of hockey. The game, which was the longest in collegiate history, and the second longest hockey game ever, came to an end when second year forward
Morgan McHaffie of Guelph, Ont., tapped a rebound past Guelph goaltender Danielle Skoufranis of Thornhill, Ont., in the sixth overtime period. It was McHaffie's second goal and seventh point during the Gaels playoff run.
Fans can catch all the action of tonight's game below as Queen's Athletics & Recreation will have a live webcast and blog of the game.
