WINDSOR, Ont. (December 3, 2011) - The Gaels (0-8) could not best the Windsor Lancers (5-3) this evening in Windsor. The final score of the game was 74-56.
The Gaels had a tough start, giving up 25 points in the first quarter. At the half the score of the game was 42-28. Although the Gaels outscored the Lancers in the third frame 19-15, their defecit grew in the fourth when they were outdone 18-9 in the final stanza.
The Gaels were outrebounded by the Lancers 49-31, and allowed 17 second chance opportunities. Queen's held the edge from beyond the arc, shooting 33% and holding the Lancers to a 5-27 performance.
Matthew Baker of Kingston, Ont. led the way for the Gaels with 11 points.
The Gaels' schedule continues again in January when they play the Ryerson Rams on Friday January 6th. Tipoff is set for 8:00pm in Kingston.
