The Gaels had a steep mountain to climb after being outscored by the Mustangs 34- 23 in the first half of action. In the third quarter, the Gaels matched the Mustangs scoring 15 apiece, the Gaels held a one point lead but it didn't last long, as it was too little too late. The final score was 61-58.
By the nubmers, the Gaels looked good. They outrebounded the Mustangs by three, hit five more shots from beyond the arc, and were 15 percent more accurate from the charity stripe. Turnovers, however, were their downfall, with 15 to the Mustangs 10.
Moore had a good night with 22 points, shooting four for five from the line and grabbing seven boards.
Liz Boag of Kingston, Ont. chipped in seven points and five assists.
The Gaels are back in action tomorrow versus Windsor on the road. Tipoff is set for 6pm.
