KINGSTON, Ont. (December 1, 2011) - The Queen's Gaels women's hockey team will be looking to help make some history this Friday with a special puck drop.
Guelph, Ontario native Greg Taylor will be performing a ceremonial puck drop before Friday's game against the UOIT Ridgebacks at the Kingston Memorial Centre. Taylor, a 39 year-old freelance writer and banker, is attempting to establish the world record for 'most ceremonial puck drops in one calendar year' and has been doing ceremonial puck drops across the professional and amateur ranks of hockey since the beginning of 2011. Taylor's first puck drop was an OHL game between the London Knights and the Niagara IceDogs.
Puck drop between the Gaels and Ridgebacks at the Memorial Centre is scheduled for 7:30. Come out and support Greg's quest for a world record and cheer on the Gaels to victory.
