LONDON, Ont. (November 5, 2011) - The Queen's Gaels couldn't solve the Western Mustangs on the road and fell in straight sets, 3-0. Set scores were 25-17, 25-19 and 25-15.
The Gaels were in tough against their rival Mustangs and couldn't solve Western's defence as six of Western's 25 points in the first came off of blocks.
In the second the Gaels had a strong showing to begin the set but ultimately couldn't sustain their momentum as Western came on late in the set to pull out a win.
The Gaels didn't have enough in the tank to sustain any offence in the third set as the Mustangs clinched the win.
Joren Zeeman of Cambridge, Ont. had a team high 12 kills while
Jackson Dakin of Courtenay, B.C. led the team with 34 assists.
The Gaels return to action on November 11 when they take on the Guelph Gryphons at Guelph. Start time is set for 8:00 pm.
