TORONTO (October 8, 2011) - A first half goal from
Adrian Rochford of Ottawa put the Gaels (5-3-1) on pace to beat the University of Toronto Varsity Blues (6-2-1) 2-0 this Saturday afternoon in Toronto.
The Gaels met the Blues earlier this season in Kingston, losing a nailbiter 1-0 when the Blues were able to connect in the 85th minute.
Today, however, was all Gaels. Rochford scored the lone first half goal giving the Gaels a 1-0 lead going into half. In the second half,
Christopher Barran of Vancouver added another for the Gaels. The Varsity Blues were not able to answer. The final score was 2-0 Gaels.
The win brings the Gaels to record to 5-3-1.
The Gaels are back in action tomorrow afternoon against Ryerson. Kickoff is set for 3:15pm.
