TORONTO (October 8, 2011) - The No. 3 Gaels (9-1-1) fell short to the Univeristy of Toronto Varsity Blues (7-1-3) this Saturday afternoon in Toronto 1-0. The loss is the Gaels first of the season.
The Varsity Blues struck early, connecting on their second shot attempt of the night in the 11th minute of play. The goal was scored by former Gael soccer standout Eilish McConville of Ottawa.
The Gaels fought hard to even things out, but neither team was able to add to the score. The early goal secured the 1-0 victory for Toronto.
The loss marks the Gaels first of the season.
The Gaels stay in Toronto taking on Ryerson University tomorrow afternoon at 1:00pm.
