Queen's Field Hockey Alumni Game 2011

Queen's finishes season on a positive note

| By:
KINGSTON, Ont. (October 25, 2011) - This past weekend the Queen's Gaels played their final regular season game against York University. The team came out with a hard-earned 1-1 tie, playing some of their best field hockey of the year. The lone goal was scored on a penalty stroke by co-captain Francesca Ruddick of West Vancouver, B.C.

A special thanks goes out to all graduating players for all of their time and effort both on and off of the field (co-captains Allison Wallisof Milton, Ont. and Ruddick, Ellen Garneys of Peterborough, Ont., Maki Mukai of Vancouver, B.C., Julie Cruanes of Jouy-en-josas, France , and exchange students Polly Black of Lisburn, N. Ireland and Clara McGhee of Glasgow, Scotland).

Later that day, Queen's Field Hockey Alumni returned to Kingston for a fun-filled evening of the alumni game followed by a social at the Grizzly Grill. Thank you to all alumni who attended or passed along a message to the team for a very successful event, and we hope to see everyone out again next year!
