KINGSTON, Ont. (October 23, 2011) - The No. 3 Queen's Gaels could not best the Laurentian Lady Vees this Sunday afternoon at Tindall Field. The game ended in a 2-2 tie.
Riley Filion, of Alexandria, Ont., gave the Gaels a hot start, scoring four minutes after kickoff. The Gaels stayed in control for the half, going into the break with a 1-0 advantage.
In the second half, the Lady Vees started their comeback tying the game at 1-1. In the 75th minute, Jessie de Boer of Vancouver scored for the Gaels. The lead did not last long however, as the Lady Vees were able to answer five minutes later. The game ended in a 2-2 tie, ending the Gael's regular season record at 13-1-2 and first place in their division.
