SUDBURY, Ont. (October 15, 2011) -
Riley Filion of Alexanderia, Ont. scored a cutch goal in the 70th minute of play, giving the No. 6 Gaels a 2-1 edge over the Laurentian Voyageurs this Saturday afternoon in Sudbury.
The game began quite slow, neither side getting many shots on goal. The game was scoreless until
Breanna Burton of Ottawa connected in the final minute of the half.
The score remained 1-0 until Laurentian scored in the 69th minute of play. Just one minute later, Fillion answered back with a goal for the Gaels. The final score was 1-0.
The Gaels record is now 11-1-1.
The Gaels are back in action tomorrow in North Bay, Ont. versus Nippising. Kickoff is set for noon.
