KINGSTON, Ont. (October 1, 2011) – An early strike by Kelli Chamberlain of North Bay Ont. clinched the No. 3 Gaels (8-0-1) their eighth win of the season as they topped the Carleton Ravens (4-4-2) on Saturday afternoon at Richardson Stadium.

Chamberlain scored in the eleventh minute to put the Gaels ahead from the start. Mikyla Kay of Vancouver added another for the Gaels in the 34th minute. The second half was scoreless despite the Gaels constant pressure.

Chantel Marson of London, Ont., made crucial saves to keep the Gaels on top and record her sixth shutout of the season.

The win brings the Gaels record to 8-0-1 as they remain undefeated on the season.

The Gaels next game is Wednesday at 7pm as they travel to Ottawa to take on the No. 9 Ottawa Gee Gees. The two teams met earlier in this year, where the Gaels came out ahead 1-0.
