KINGSTON, Ont. (January 9, 2011) – The Gaels used 12 different players in an easy three set win over cross-town rival RMC. Will Sidgwick and Michael Amoroso, both of Toronto, had 14 points apiece as the Gaels take the match 25-22, 25-17, 25-18.
Amoroso had 10 kills and two blocks in three sets, while Sidgwick had 13 kills. Jackson Dakin of Courtenay, B.C. had 19 set assists while splitting time at setter with Daniel Rosenbaum of Hamilton, Ont.
RMC's Paul Demers of Manitowaning, Ont. had a team-high 11 points and a game-high 8 digs. Robert Hartzell of Ottawa had 18 set assists.
The Gaels (9-2) completed the season sweep against the Paladins (0-11) and play next against the Waterloo Warriors on Saturday January 15th at 2:00pm in the Main Gym at the ARC. Laurier visits on Sunday January 16th at 2:00pm to complete the weekend series.
