LONDON, Ont. (January 22, 2011) – Brian Fautley of Oakville, Ont., led the charge with 21 kills for the No. 9 ranked Queen's men's volleyball team as they beat No. 6 Western Mustangs in a five set thriller 25-23, 23-25, 23-25, 25-21 and 18-16.
The Gaels improve to 12-3 on the season and are 4-1 in the New Year. The Gaels maintain sole possession of second place in the OUA.
Anthony Pitfield of Ottawa, led the team in blocks with four solo and two assisted while
Alex Oneid of Ottawa, led the Gaels in digs with 14.
Western's Matt Poulin of Winnipeg, put together 20 kills in a losing effort.
The Gaels return to Kingston next weekend when they take on the Toronto Varsity Blues Friday, January 28th at 8:00pm.
