Gaels dominate in victory over Nipissing

KINGSTON, Ont. (September 25, 2010) – Marshal Peacock, of Toronto, recorded a shutout as the Gaels trounced the Nipissing Lakers 4-0 this afternoon at Tindall Field.

Four different Gaels contributed in scoring in the winning effort.

MacArinze Ojiaku, of Ottawa Ont., scored the Gaels first goal early in the first half. In the final minutes of the half Jordan Brooks, of Angus Ont., was able to put one past the Lakers' keeper to widen the Gaels lead to two.

Mike Arnold, of London Ont., and Andrew Colosimo, of Thunder Bay Ont., were able to score a goal each in the second half to seal the win for the Gaels as they beat the Lakers 4-0.

The win improves the Gaels regular season record 3-2-1. The victory also marks the first time Queen's has been victorious against Nipissing since September 27, 2007.

The Gaels face off against the Laurentian Voyageurs tomorrow at 2:15 at Richardson Stadium.
