TORONTO, Ont. (February 14, 2010) – In the first of three straight road games to close out the season, the Gaels needed all five sets to put away the host Toronto Varsity Blues 25-20, 21-25, 25-22, 24-26, 15-9.

Joren Zeeman (Cambridge, Ont.) and Michael Amoroso (Toronto, Ont) led the Gaels with 18 and 17 points, respectively. Daniel Rosenbaum (Hamilton, Ont.) had 48 assists in the game. Alex Oneid (Ottawa, Ont.) led the team with 13 digs.

Toronto repeatedly found themselves down a set, and could never find a way to take an advantage over the Gaels. This was despite the effort of Steven Kung (Toronto, Ont.), who finished with 32 points on 29 kills and three stuff blocks. The only other Toronto player in double figures was Mike Manning (Vernon, B.C.)

The Gaels continue play on February 19th against the University of Guelph Gryphons. They finish up their season on February 20th against Wilfred Laurier University Golden Hawks. Playoffs begin on February 27th.
