KINGSTON, Ont. (November 4, 2010) - The Queen's Gaels will be looking to advance to their fourth consecutive OUA Championship next weekend as they take on the McMaster Marauders in OUA Semi-final action.
The Gaels are coming off of a dominant 44-0 victory over the Guelph Gryphons last Saturday. Dan Moor (Toronto) led the Gaels with seven points as Queen's controlled the game from the outset. The win was the second of 2010 for the Gaels over Guelph as they outscored Guelph 72-0 between the two matchups this season.
McMaster earned a playoff bye this season with their second place league finish. The Marauders finished the season 6-1-1 with their lone loss coming to the first place Western Mustangs in the final week of the regular season.
These two teams met once earlier in the year as McMaster narrowly took that game by a 25-18 score in Hamilton. The match was a closely contested team effort as both squads had their scoring spread across many sources. Moor led the Gaels in scoring that game as well with an eight point effort.
This weekend's semi-final will be taking place on Saturday November 6th on the McMaster Back 10 Field in Hamilton. Start time is set for 1:00 pm.
