KINGSTON, Ont. (November 19, 2010) - The Queen's Gaels will be trying to get back into the win column this weekend as they look forward to a Waterloo doubleheader at home when they take on the Waterloo Warriors on Friday before facing the No.2 Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks on Saturday.
The Gaels are in the midst of a slump right now as they have dropped five straight games, three of which came in overtime. The Gaels were last in action on November 14 when they lost by a 5-2 score to the Guelph Gryphons.
Kelsey Thomson of Martintown, Ont. and
Michelle Hunt of Mississauga, Ont. were the goal scorers for the Gaels.
Waterloo lost their last game played as well by a 5-4 score to the Toronto Varsity Blues. The Gaels won the first game played this season between these two teams by a 2-0 score and have taken three of the last four games between these two teams.
The Golden Hawks have only lost once this season and beat York by a 6-1 score in their last game. The Golden Hawks also beat the Gaels in their first matchup this season by a 2-1 score.
The Gaels will be facing Waterloo on Friday at 7:30 pm before facing Wilfrid Laurier on Saturday at 8:30 pm. Both games will take place at the Kingston Memorial Centre.
