GUELPH, Ont. (November 14, 2010) – The Queen's Gaels lost their fifth straight game as the Guelph Gryphons defeated women's hockey team 5-2 on Sunday afternoon.
Guelph used three unanswered goals in the second and third period to defeat Queen's. Guelph's Samantha Ryder of North Vancouver, B.C. scored two consecutive goals, including the game winner in the third period.
Kelsey Thomson of Martintown, Ont., opened the scoring for the Gaels in the first period, but Guelph scored twice to start the second period.

Michelle Hunt of Mississauga, Ont. tied the game 2-2 at the 16:22 mark of the second period before Ryder scored twice. Tayne Hewer of Barrie, Ont. added the insurance goal late in the third.
Guelph goalie Danielle Skoufranis of Thornhill, Ont. saved 19 shots in the win.
The Gaels next game is November 19th versus the University of Waterloo with the puck dropping at 7:30pm. They also play on November 20th against the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks set for 8:30pm.
