Gaels sweep Lions for fifth straight victory

KINGSTON, Ont. (November 12, 2010) – The No. 9 Queen's Gaels continue their unbeaten run to begin the season as they defeated the York Lions in three sets (25-15, 25-16, 25-22) Friday night at the Athletics and Recreation Centre.

Joren Zeeman of Cambridge, Ont., led the Gaels in kills with 10 while Michael Amoroso of Toronto, and Bryan Fautley of Oakville, Ont., chipped in with seven and six respectively.

Jackson Dakin of Courtenay, B.C., set up the Gaels attackers well all night and earned 24 assists.

Ray Szeto of Sutton, Ont., was the top performer on the night for the Lions as he registered nine kills.

The Gaels will look to earn their sixth straight win to open the season tomorrow night when they take on the Ryerson Rams. Game time is set for 8:00 pm.
