Gaels drop close match at McMaster

Henry McQueen's try couldn't seal it for Queen's
HAMILTON, Ont. (October 8, 2010) – The Queen's Gaels dropped a close match up to the McMaster Marauders on Friday, losing 25-18 on the road.

The Gaels leading scorer was centre Dan Moor of Toronto, who scored eight of the Gaels points (two penalties, one conversion). Moor was joined on the score sheet by Henry McQueen of Vancourver, and Andrew Kirk of Paris, Ont., who added tries for the Gaels. However, these contributions were not enough as the Gaels could not overcome McMaster who received scoring from five different players.

The loss drops the Gaels to 3-2 on the season with three games remaining in the regular season.

The Gaels look ahead to their next game against the Waterloo Warriors at home on Kingston Field next Saturday. Queen's has not lost to Waterloo since the 2004 OUA Bronze Medal game and most recently dominated the Warriors at Waterloo last season by a score of 53-3. Kickoff is set for 1:00pm
