Gaels earn 6-0 lopsided victory over RMC

KINGSTON, Ont. (October 6, 2010) - Michael Arnold of London, Ont., and Eric Koskins of RIchmond Hill, Ont. each scored a pair of goals in a 6-0 win for the Queen's men's soccer over the RMC Paladins in raining conditions on Tindall Field.

Arnold would score his pair of goals late in the first half to make the score 4-0 while Koskins tallied his goals in the final mintues of the game. Also scoring for the Gaels were Adrian Rochford of Ottawa and Nathan Klemencic of Trenton, Ont.

Arnold has now logged eight goals on the season which tops a career best six he had posted in both the 2007-08 and 2009-10 season. He currently ranks third in OUA scoring.

Marshal Peacock of Toronto, Ont., and Dylan Maxwell of Vancouver shared the goal-tending duties splitting the shutout.

Queen's now holds a 16 game winning streak over the Paladins in men's soccer. Earlier this week the Gaels won 2-0 over the Paladins to secure the season series. The win improves the Gaels' record to 6-3-1, good for second place in the OUA East Division.

The Gaels will break for the Thanksgiving weekend and return to action on Saturday, October 16 against the Ryerson Rams in Toronto.
