Gaels up for rematch with Laurentian in OUA playoffs

| By:
KINGSTON, Ont. (October 26, 2010) - The Queen's Gaels will take on the Laurentian Voyageurs on Wednesday in their OUA first round playoff matchup.

The game is a rematch of last weekend's tilt between the two squads which saw the Gaels walk away with a 4-0 victory on the road. Joseph Zupo (Toronto) led the Gaels in that contest with two goals on the afternoon while Maxfield Materne (Toronto) preserved the clean sheet in goal.

The game was the Gaels second victory over Laurentian this season, with the first coming at Richardson Stadium by a 3-1 score. Michael Arnold (London, Ont.) scored two in the first matchup to pace Queen's to victory.

The Gaels will be looking to Arnold to lead them past the first round as the fourth year striker finished third in the OUA in scoring this season with nine goals.

Laurentian, meanwhile, comes into the playoffs at 6-6-2, putting them five points back of the 8-5-1 Gaels in the OUA Standings. They will be led into this game by striker Davor Alisic who is their leading scorer with four goals this season.

Kick-off is set for 1:00 pm at Richardson Stadium.
