OSHAWA, Ont. (October 24, 2010) – On the second game of a weekend double header, the Gaels (3-3-0) could not muster any offense, losing 4-0 to the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (2-3-1). The Gaels were coming off a 1-0 overtime win over UOIT last night.
Queen's could only muster 24 shots on net with Jessica Larabie of Pickering, Ont. recorded the shutout for UOIT.
Queen's Karrisa Savage of Calgary got the start in today's game, but could not follow the shutout performance of teammate Mel Dodd Moher of Stittsville, Ont. who blanked UOIT less than 24 hours earlier.
Meghan Steacy of Gananoque, Ont. and Gillian Morgan of Ajax provided all the scoring for UOIT notching two goals apiece.
The Gaels (3-3-0) return home for a game against Guelph at 8:30pm on October 30th. Queen's then plays the Brock Badgers at 2:30pm in a Halloween matchup. Both games are at Kingston Memorial Centre.
