SUDBURY, Ont. (October 24, 2010) – Jacqueline Tessier of Winnipeg, scored her 18th goal of the season as the No. 4 Queen's Gaels defeated the Laurentian Lady Vees 2-0 in their final game of the regular season. The win clinches the number one position for Queen's in the OUA Eastern Division with a regular season record of 14-2.
Queen's jumped on the scoreboard early with Tessier netting the 1-0 marker in the fifth minute of play. Queen's clamped down defensively and maintained the lead the rest of the match.

Julia Cory of Vancouver, B.C., emphasized the Gaels win with a last minute goal to make the final score 2-0 for the Gaels.
Elena Corry of Hamilton, Ont., recorded a shut-out on the win. The Queen's goalkeepers have been a dominant this season recording eight shutouts.
Queen's finishes the regular season three points ahead of the Ottawa Gee Gees for first place in the OUA East Division. Queen's is also the top team in the OUA with 42 points while Wilfrid Laurier, the West Division leader, has 35 points.

Queen's only two losses this year were two heartbreaking 1-0 defeats at the hands of the No. 6 Ottawa Gee Gees.
