KINGSTON, Ont. (October 23, 2010) -
David Worsley of Vancouver nailed two penalty goals as the Queen's Gaels (6-2) edged the Brock Badgers (5-2) by a score of 16-15.
Brock played the Gaels close all game as their two tries (scored by Matthew Alexander and Benjamyn Harmer) were accompanied by Samuel Rimmer's five points (one conversion and one penalty) to give the Badgers their 15 points on the afternoon.
Worsley was the Gaels leading scorer as his six points were the difference for Queen's in the contest. The Gaels also received tries from
Mike Wong of Barrie, Ont. and
Henry McQueen of Vancouver which was enough to topple the Badgers.
The win puts the Gaels in third place in the OUA, one point ahead of the Badgers, heading into next week's OUA Quarter-Final. The Gaels will be hosting the Guelph Gryphons on Kingston Field next Saturday.
