KINGSTON, Ont. (October 16, 2010) – The Queen's Gaels men's soccer team could not overcome a second half goal from the visiting Ryerson Rams as the fell 1-0 at Richardson Stadium Saturday afternoon.
The first half marked a tight match-up between the Gaels and the Rams who played to a 2-2 draw earlier this season. Gaels' keeper,
Marshal Peacock of Toronto, Ont., helped ensure the game remained tied 0-0 at half time with several key saves.
Ryerson was able to break the tie with a goal from Rams' midfielder Janarthan Sadacharalingam of Scarborough, Ont., in the 54th minute of the game. The Gaels were unable to recover and the final score
remained 1-0 for the Rams.
The loss drops Queen's regular season record to 6-4-1.
The Gaels next game is against the Toronto Varsity Blues tomorrow afternoon at Richardson Stadium.
