Men’s soccer plays to a 0-0 tie with Toronto

| By:
TORONTO (September 6, 2009) – Sean Martin-Courtright of Calgary, Alta., did all he could to stop the Varsity Blues from scoring, and got a little help from the goal post, as he recorded his first shutout of the season in a 0-0 draw at Varsity Stadium.

Throughout a very back and forth game, Martin-Courtright provided stability in net, but the Gaels were unable to generate the scoring needed to pull out a victory.

The Blues had their best scoring chance on a 52nd minute strike from Nordo Gooden that rattled the post before staying out.

The Gaels return to Kingston undefeated (1-0-1) and will look to continue their solid play in a rematch with Toronto on September 13th (3:15pm) at Richardson Stadium. The Gaels also host an exhibition contest against Queen's Alumni on September 12th.
