Queen’s exacts revenge on rival Marauders

| By:
KINGSTON, Ont. (September 26, 2009) – In their first meeting since McMaster defeated Queen's at the 2008 OUA Championships, the Gaels earned a measure of revenge as they beat up on Marauders by a score of 59-5.

With another outstanding game, Ryan Kruyne of Dunrobin, Ont. lead the team, and now the OUA, in total points. Kruyne recorded five conversions and two penalty kicks for a total of 19 points in the game.

The Gaels proved their mobility once again with points scored across the team. Tries were scored by Henry McQueen (Vancouver, B.C), Tim Richardson (Vancouver, B.C), Graeme Dibden (Edmonton, Alta), Daniel Moor (Toronto, Ont.) and two tries added by Chris Barrett (Vancouver, B.C).
The depth of the Queen's Gaels bench was equally impressive. Zach Pancer and Liam Underwood, who were substituted into the game, both scored a try, bringing the final score to 59-5 for Queen's.

The Gaels head to London, Ont. next week to play The University of Western Ontario, where they will fight to hold onto their undefeated season. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:00pm.
