Carleton dominant from start to finish in win over Gaels

OTTAWA, Ont. (December 4, 2009) – The Queen's Gaels surrendered five goals in an eight minute span in the second period as they lost to the Carleton Ravens 8-0 on Friday night.

Andrew Self scored two goals in the first period for the Ravens before completing the hat-trick late in the second period to pace Carleton. Brandon MacLean was the leading point-getter in the game with five (2 G, 3 A) while Joey Manley chipped in with a goal and three assists.

Mackenzie Ball of Shannonville, Ont., surrendered all eight goals through the first two periods before being replaced by Christopher Feniak of Toronto. Feniak stopped all eight shots he faced in relief.

The Gaels will look to rebound tomorrow night when they take on the Ottawa Gee Gees. Game time is set for 7:00 pm.
