KINGSTON, Ont. (November 27, 2009) – The Gaels evened their season at 4-4 with a victory against the winless Guelph Gryphons (0-7).

Led by Brittany Moore (Hannon, Ont.) and Erin Skippon (Surrey, B.C.), Queen's jumped out to a 7-point halftime lead and didn't look back. The Gaels came out of the half with a 20-7 third quarter thanks to solid play from fifth-year guard Katie Guthrie (Orillia, Ont.), who finished with nine points in 30 minutes. Moore led the team with 15 points.

Guelph was unable to put together much offense until the fourth quarter, but at that point it was too late. Jasmine Douglas (Guelph, Ont.) provided the most energy for the Gryphons, finishing with 12 points and nine boards, and two blocks.

The Gaels (4-4) wrap up the 2009 portion of their schedule on Saturday against the Brock Badgers at 6:00 pm. Their next games are after the Christmas holidays where the Gaels will look to make a push for the playoffs.
