MacLellan powers Gaels to eighth straight win

NORTH BAY, Ont. (October 9, 2009) – The Queen's Women's soccer team won their eighth straight game as they defeated the Nipissing Lady Lakers by a score of 1-0 on Friday afternoon.

Renee MacLellan of Kingston, Ont., scored the game's only goal in the 71st minute. It was her seventh goal of the season, tying her for third in OUA scoring.

The Gaels continue their road trip tomorrow afternoon as they travel to Sudbury to battle the Laurentian Lady Vees. Game time is scheduled for 12:00 pm.
