KINGSTON Ont. (October 4, 2009) – Queen's striker Michael Arnold of London, Ont., had two goals earning a 2-2 draw against the Ryerson Rams Sunday afternoon at Richardson Stadium.

Within minutes of the open whistle Queen's had scored their first goal with a soaring header by Arnold, from a long cross by Gaels' defensemen, Andrew Nador of Kingston, Ont. The game was tied up later in the half by a swift kick from Ryerson's midfielder, Alex Braletic. Late in the first half the Gaels took the lead when Arnold was able to put a quick shot into the bottom corner of the Rams net.

The second half the Rams were able to tie up the score off a corner kick header by Michael Jan. Both teams struggled to establish their dominance in the final minutes in an attempt to take the lead. Gaels keeper, Sean Martin-Courtright of Calgary was able to keep the score tied with several critical saves late in the game.

The Gaels are scheduled for a northern road trip next weekend playing Nipissing University in North Bay, Ont. on October 9 and then contend against Laurentian located in Sudbury on October 10.
