KINGSTON, Ont. (October 31, 2009) – Kelli Chamberlain of North Bay Ont., scored the game winning goal for Queen's to secure a 3-1 victory over the Carleton Ravens in the OUA quarter-final on Saturday afternoon at Tindall Field.

The game saw No. 2 Queen's Gaels facing the Carleton Ravens for the second time in seven days with the Gaels earning a 2-0 victory in regular season play last Saturday (Oct. 24).

Carleton opened the scoring in the quarter-final match mid-way through the first-half on a corner kick goal by Shayla LaVecchia of Ottawa. The goal ended Queen's 10-game shutout streak dating back to September 27th and handed the Ravens a 1-0 lead heading into the second half.

Riley Fillon of Alexandra, Ont., scored the tying goal in the 59 minute on a kick from the top of the 18-yard box. That goal added to the Gaels growing momentum and Chamberlain scored in the 74th minute making the score 2-1 in favour of Queen's with just 16 minutes to play.

Kingston's Renee MacLellan added the insurance goal 10 minutes later on a breakaway goal sealing the 3-1 win.

Queen's is now riding a 15 game unbeaten streak and have secured wins in each of their last five games
